Mariano Coc Och was a 24-year-old worker from Nampa, Idaho, who tragically lost his life in a workplace accident on January 31, 2024. The accident occurred at a construction site in Boise, Idaho, where a hangar was being built. The hangar collapsed due to an unknown structural failure, resulting in the deaths of three workers, including Mariano Coc Och.
The Ada County Coroner’s report stated that Mariano Coc Och died of traumatic blunt-force injuries sustained in the collapse. The incident also injured nine other people, with five of them in critical condition. The construction company involved, Big D Builders, expressed their deep sorrow and commitment to working with investigators to determine the cause of the collapse.
